India’s right-arm leg-break bowler Yuzvendra Chahal has a sweet surprise for his fans and followers as he shared the pictures of his wedding ceremony with choreographer and YouTuber Dhanashree Verma. The love-birds tied the knot in a private ceremony in Gurugram on December 22, 2020, Tuesday. The two got married in a Hindu ceremony at the Karma Lake resort.
Chahal and Dhanashree had a quiet wedding as not many were aware of their marriage date and it came as a sweet surprise for the fans. The Indian leg-spinner had met his better-half during the lockdown with the purpose of learning some dance steps in his free days. However, the two had soon become good friends and had felt some sort of connection between them.
Both Chahal and Dhanashree shared their wedding pictures with a heart-warming caption on their respective social media handles. While Dhanashree looked mesmerizing in a maroon lehenga, Yuzvendra complemented her in an ivory sherwani with a maroon turban.
The two captioned their pictures as, “22.12.20. We started at “Once upon a time” and found “Our happily ever after,” coz’ finally, #DhanaSaidYuz for infinity & beyond!”

Dhanashree had also travelled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the middle of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to support Chahal, who was playing for franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Though Bangalore outfit failed to lift their maiden IPL trophy this time too, Chahal had a wonderful season with the ball as he scalped 21 wickets in 15 games.
After the IPL, Chahal had flown to Sydney with the Indian team to be a part of the three-match ODI and T20I series against Australia. The spinner had a torrid run in the ODI series as he picked just 1 wicket in two games and proved to be very expensive.
As far as the T20Is are concerned, he had bowled one of the best spells of his life in the first T20I against Australia with the figures of 4-0-25-3. However, Chahal had again failed to find the rhythm in the last two T20I games.
