The finalists for the Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Series have been confirmed with two matches still to be played as Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe in their 2nd meeting to qualify for the final along with Australia. Solomon Mire put up his best against a quality bowling attack of Pakistan scoring a record 94 off 63 balls to help his team to finish on 162/4.

Fakhar Zaman gave his team a quick start in the chase as Pakistan reached the 50-run mark by 5th over. However, some tight middle-overs from the Zimbabwe bowlers made the chase interesting but the skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik took the side home with five balls to spare.

All the stats and numbers from Pakistan’s yet another T20I victory over Zimbabwe:

6 – Number of sixes Mire hit during his 94-run knock. He is only the 3rd Zimbabwe player to hit as many as six sixes in a T20I game. Elton Chigumbura hit seven sixes against India in the 2016 Harare T20I while Malcolm Waller also hit six sixes in the 2015 Dhaka T20I against Bangladesh.

9 – Pakistan is the first side to win nine consecutive matches while chasing in T20I cricket. England (2010-2011) and Australia (2016-2018) have won eight T20Is in a row while chasing. Pakistan won all the nine T20Is they played after the 2016 WT20 while chasing a total.

11Pakistan extended their winning streak in the T20I format against Zimbabwe to 11 matches. No other side has 100% win record against an opponent in this format after featuring in more than eight matches.
