Pakistan is currently up against Zimbabwe in a two-match Test series where the first has been won by the hosts by an innings and 116 runs. In the recent turn of events, a famed journalist pointed out that Ali’s fortunes are shining too well for him ever since he has been blessed by a daughter. Ali got married in the year 2019 and it was in April 2021 that he was blessed by a baby girl. The journalist quoted what Ali said after grabbing the player of the match award. The Pakistan bowler dedicated his award to his newborn only.

“Since my daughter was born, my performances have improved. I have no doubt that daughters are blessings from God. That is why I am dedicating every award to her. I am missing her but country comes first,” read the tweet.

Talking about the match, Ali grabbed four wickets in the first match while conceding just 53 runs in his quota of four overs. He was credited for devastating Zimbabwe’s top and the middle order. While in the second innings, He clinched a classy fifer while conceding at 2.92. His deadly pace attack summed up Zimbabwe on 134 runs and handed a gigantic win to Pakistan.

Hasan Ali opens up after bagging player of the match

“I have been doing very well in the nets, I am practicing batting as well. The instruction was simple today morning, go out there and score some quick runs on the board. The way Fawad played was excellent. I have played in the whole first-class season and I am used to bowling in slow pitches.

We didn’t dominate the T20s, so put in a lot of effort here. It was a crucial catch (Brendan Taylor’s wicket), he was coming hard on us. Before the ball, I told Nauman to get him out and it just happened. I want to dedicate this award to my newborn daughter,” quoted Ali after grabbing the player of the match award.
