IPL 2019 has started to make rounds as franchises are looking for trading players ahead of the IPL auction which scheduled to be held in December. The first trading window is closing on November 16 and during this time, teams would like to get the best out of this period. The process was kickstarted by Mumbai Indians as they brought wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock from Royal Challengers Bangalore and other teams are expected to follow with more entries and exits.

The defending champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) too would be keeping a view on this trade window. They were exceptional last season but might surely try to fill the voids and further strengthen the squad before they take the field in the upcoming event. There were a few players who failed to make a mark in the previous edition and CSK might release them so that they can avail best options in the auctions.

Here are the three players which CSK might release

1. Harbhajan Singh

Once an irremovable part of Team India, Harbhajan Singh is right now nowhere in the scene as the off-spinner hasn’t appeared in international cricket since March 2016. Pertinently, he failed to attain much success in the last edition of IPL.

The 38-year-old ended the season taking seven wickets in 13 matches at the economy of 8.48, which surely aren’t satisfying numbers for a spinner. Chennai is expected to bid goodbye to him before the first trading phase closes in mid-November.

Nicknamed as the Turbonator, Harbhajan wasn’t part of Punjab squad in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy as well and it remains to be seen if any team will be interested in picking in him in case CSK releases him.
