Here is a common name that you will find in most Afghanistan team sheets or XIs over the last couple of years. Najibullah Zadran has been very impressive and has been consistent as well. He’s been Afghanistan’s rock in the middle order and was one of their best batsmen in the World Cup earlier this year.

It was back in 2012 that Najibullah made his international debut. He was in and out of the squad before he was picked in the 2015 World Cup squad. However, poor form meant he had to be dropped in early 2017. But the left-hander came storming back and made his way back into the side in 2018.

Since then, he hasn’t looked back. Najibullah has been consistent in the ODI format. Meanwhile, in the T20s, he boasts of a good record too. In all, he’s played 101 T20 games and has a strike-rate of 142.74. Hence, he could be one of the Afghan players who could attract bids. He can play the role of a finisher lower down the order and can make an impact.
