AB de Villiers, the legend of the game after he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, the fans are in heavy distress and it is indeed disappointing when fans think about not seeing this player again in this wonderful game. AB de Villiers marked his capabilities in the IPL through this innings. It was in 2009 when he was featuring for the Delhi Daredevils and in a match against Chennai Super Kings, he hit his maiden century in the tournament.

Delhi Daredevils batted first and after an early exit of the openers Gambhir and Sehwag, De Villiers came to bat at number three and started the inning slowly with his first fifty coming off 35 deliveries and after which he just accelerated unbelievably and reached his next fifty runs just in 16 balls.

He along with Dilshan aided the team to the score of 189 with him finishing with a score of 105* and RCB eventually won that match. It was the first century of that edition and he proved his worth in the sub-continent after this innings.
