Perhaps, MS Dhoni is the best wicketkeeper-batsman India has ever produced. For 15 years, he’s been India’s No. 1 choice behind the stumps. With the bat, he’s built a legacy and will go down as one of the best finishers to have played the game in white-ball cricket.
It is no secret that Dhoni is a cool and calm person and likes to keep to himself when he’s away from cricket. He rarely puts pictures and posts on social media. In fact, barring his videos, pictures and other things with his daughter Ziva, there’s hardly anything that Dhoni posts.
However, a few years back, Dhoni was pretty active on Twitter. He wasn’t shy to tweet what was on his mind. Hence, here we look at five epic tweets by the former Indian skipper.
1. Trolling ‘Sir’ Ravindra Jadeja
Everybody knows Ravindra Jadeja has been given the title ‘Sir’ and it was MS Dhoni who started trending it. Dhoni loves pulling his teammates’ leg and loves fooling around at times. He has a very funny side to him as well.
Jadeja joined the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side in 2012. However, in 2013, he was trending on Twitter due to Dhoni’s one tweet. In a game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), two runs were required off the final delivery. Jadeja was caught at third-man on that ball but it was deemed to be a no-ball and hence, CSK won the game.
It was after the game, Dhoni used his wits to troll Jadeja. He took to Twitter to tweet about the game and pull Jajdeja’s leg. The tweet read, “When you give Sir Ravindra Jadeja one ball to get 2 runs he will win it with one ball to spare !!” This left Twitter and the entire world in splits.
