The story of being rags to riches fits perfectly in the case of English pacer Tymal Mills. The cricketer hailed from a below poverty bracket but an IPL contract of Rs 12 crores from the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore made him a millionaire overnight.

The England tour of India just before the 2017 IPL auctions proved to be a boon for Mills as he featured in all three T20Is for the England side and took 3 wickets at an acceptable economy rate. This attracted RCB towards the young lad and they bought him at an astounding price of 12 crores for 2017 edition. He was deemed as the replacement of veteran Mitchell Starc by many.

However, an injury deteriorated the career of the budding cricketer. Due to his injury, Tymal could feature in only 5 matches in which he took only 5 wickets at an economy rate of 8.57. Subsequently, there was a dip in his international form too which meant that the cricketer went unsold at the auctions in 2018.
