Chasing 337 against Australia, South Africa had a good chance to win the game as the surface was good to bat on. Moreover, the Proteas openers took the team off to a flyer with some aggressive cricket. In 20 overs, 160 runs were scored placing the team on the top.

Jacques Kallis, who walked in at this moment, was expected to carry on with the momentum. But instead, the all-rounder decided to take his own sweet time and scored 48 off 63 deliveries. His slow knock got the team out of the race as South Africa lost the match by 83 runs. This is considered to be one of the selfish acts by the cricketers.
