The Indian Premier League(IPL) is the biggest T20 cricket league in the world. It is the place where the best cricketers from across the globe congregate and provide some riveting cricketing action to the viewers.

Finally, after the wait and the postponement amid COVID-19 pandemic, the 13th edition of the IPL will take place in the UAE from 19th September to 8th November 2020. The T20 extravaganza is anticipated to provide the fans with many nail-biting thrillers this year too.

And, while the fans would be excited to see their favourite players in action, this edition might well turn out to be the last for some legends who have graced the tournament with such aplomb.

In this article, let us have a look at 5 players for whom the 13th edition of the IPL might turn out to be their last:

5. Chris Gayle (KXIP)

There are very few men in the sport who can strike a cricket ball better than Chris Gayle. The Jamaican batting icon can pulverize any bowling attack at will and can provide endless headaches to the opposition camp. Gayle is one of the most decorated batsmen in the history of the league.

The big-hitting left-hander holds the record for scoring the most hundreds(6) in IPL cricket, and also holds the record for smashing the highest individual score(175) in IPL history. Gayle has offered his services for Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers in the past and is presently part of the Kings XI Punjab outfit.

But then, Gayle will turn 41 this year, and the 13th edition of the IPL might well turn out to be his last. Gayle will be looking to sign off with a flourish, by turning the heat a few notches up when he takes guard in the UAE this year.
