The skiddy left-arm pacer has represented India on the international stage and has performed well. But one of the major reasons Khaleel Ahmed is getting more chances this edition is the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. But his recent performances have not been impressive and as a result, he is warming the benches. With Sandeep Sharma’s improved performance, SRH’s bowling attack looks balanced and there is no need for another Indian pacer.

Hence, it is time for Khaleel to find a new base, a team that is in need of a pace bowler. SRH’s weakness has been its middle order. And now, with Holder controlling the middle overs, SRH can find another explosive allrounder to increase their run-rate during the crucial stages. Therefore, there is no need for another pace bowler in the playing eleven.

Khaleel’s pace can help him to secure another IPL contact for a team that lacks good Indian bowlers. RCB or RR should aim for Khaleel if he is released by the franchise. But lack of spots and leaking runs during the death overs are sufficient reasons for the management to release the left-arm pacer. Hence, Khaleel finds a spot in this list of players who should be released from the team.
