Another prodigy to come out from the Mumbai ranks after Prithvi Shaw, Yashasvi Jaiswal looks destined to play in the national team. Currently representing the Indian Under-19 team in the World Cup in New Zealand, he made headlines after his struggle of initial days, when he used to sell panipuris to survive himself in Mumbai, came into the light.

However, instead of blathering much about his rags-to-riches story he let his willow do the talking and that is what has fetched him the success he is a proud owner of today. Roped in by Rajasthan Royals at a whopping price of INR 2.4 crore, Yashavi will be hoping to justify the trust that franchise has shown on him.

Going by the numbers he has achieved so far, he looks completely capable to do that. In his first domestic season, he became the youngest-ever cricketer to hit a double ton in List A cricket achieving the feat in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019. He also finished as the tournament’s fifth-highest run-scorer with a better average than the top four.
