Despite not hosting a lot of international games over the last couple of years, the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi has been in the news quite a bit in recent times. The stadium was renamed to the Arun Jaitley Stadium in memory of late Arun Jaitley who was the former DDCA president and the former finance minister of India. Virat Kohli got a stand named after him as well.

The Feroz Shah Kotla has seen a number of record-breaking and memorable moments in Indian cricket history, especially in Test cricket. Sunil Gavaskar equalled Sir Don Bradman’s 29 Test hundreds at this ground. Sachin Tendulkar went past Gavaskar’s 34 Test tons. Anil Kumble took that famous 10-wicket haul against Pakistan here as well.

This venue has seen 34 Test matches which is the second most by any ground in India. Moreover, it has been a fortress of kinds for India. Since 1987, no team has ever beaten India in a Test match at the Feroz Shah Kotla. In fact, in its 34-Test career at this venue, India have lost a mere five Test matches.
