The 33-year-old left-arm orthodox bowler has been extremely successful in the BBL for the Perth Scorchers. His ability to deceive the batsmen with his accuracy and variations not to forget experience makes him a match-winner for any franchise. Beer enjoys the experience on home turf having played domestic cricket for a long time which further compliments his overall abilities.

His unorthodox gameplay and ability to get under the skin of the opposition by sledging them certainly make him stand out in the Big Bash and makes him an extremely memorable and entertaining character. His reaction after being traded for James Muirhead by the Stars certainly says it all: “I see it; I laugh. I think it’s hilarious to be honest. I’m the guy who looks on Twitter straight after you play a Big Bash game. I find it hilarious, but if you don’t find it hilarious there’s no point being on it. I actually enjoy it a bit more than I probably should.”
