Tim Bresnan was the medium-fast bowler who represented England for nine years. The Yorkshire-born cricketer didn’t receive much recognition in the international arena but he was a successfully first-class cricketer. He announced his retirement from international cricket on 31 January 2022.   

Bresnan made his debut in international cricket on 15 June 2006 against Australia. Soon, he got a chance to represent his country in Tests when Andrew Flintoff was ruled out from the series against the West Indies. 

Bresnan was part of the England Test side in the 2010-11 Ashes and helped England bowl out Australia for 98 runs in Melbourne. He grabbed two wickets in that innings, including the wickets of Phil Hughes and Brad Haddin. Overall, Tim Bresnan played 142 matches for England and took 205 Wickets. He was a handy batsman also and scored 1662 runs in his international cricket career.
