8 Times in Tests when both openers got run-out in the same innings: There are many ways in which a batsman gets dismissed but there are some in which he considers himself ill-fated or you can say some form of dismissals irritates the batters more in comparison to others. After getting out, disappointment always remains with the batsman but run-out is a mode of dismissal when you can get out even if your partner makes a mistake which agitates the players even more.

Today, we present to you a very unique article. Till now we have heard or seen an opener getting run-out but there have been some rare occasions in 138 year old history of Test cricket when both the openers have got run-out in the same innings.

So, let’s have a look at 8 Times in Tests when both openers got run-out in the same innings:

1. Australia v England at Adelaide (1902):

The first such instance when both the openers got run-out in the same innings came in the 3rd Ashes Test match between Australia and England in 1902 at Adelaide. And it was the opening pair of the English team which got out in such a dismal fashion. The openers were Archie MacLaren and Tom Hayward. They had put up 149 runs for the 1st wicket before MacLaren got run-out on 67 and after that his partner Hayward who played a brilliant knock of 90 runs also got run-out.
