As one would expect, that comment from the former International cricket didn't go down well with the fans.

Ever since Ahmed Shehzad entered the International stage, his career has taken a lot of twists and turns, sometimes for good reasons and sometimes it has been the other way round. Although he did have some great moments, the 26-year-old has underperformed in the chances he has been rewarded with over the years.

It’s worth noting that he made his International debut when he was 18. Shehzad has represented Pakistan in 78 ODIs and 13 Tests then on and currently is facing a very dark phase in his career. He failed a dope Test taken during the Pakistan Cup in April and he is currently serving a ban from all forms of cricket.

We have seen some cricketers like Rohit Sharma in the past who took an awful lot of time to find form but when he eventually did, he became an important member of the national side. With a similar hope, the Pakistani selectors have been trusting Shehzad for a fairly long period despite not reaping good results.

Shehzad receives a priceless compliment but gets trolled brutally

Amidst all the chaos happening in his life, Shehzad received a priceless compliment from former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq. Razzaq said whilst speaking on a local talk show that the youngster is probably more talented than the Indian cricketing legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag.

When the host of the show asked Razzaq whether Shehzad has the calibre or ability to make it big, the all-rounder said, “I certainly believe he has the talent. When I saw him during his initial days, I felt he was more talented than Sachin or Sehwag and I expected he would go past them.”

As one would expect, that comment from the former International cricket didn’t go pretty well with the fans. A cricketer who has been so inconsistent over the years gets compared to two of the greatest batsmen the game has ever witnessed turned this comment into meme content.

Interestingly, when Razzaq gave the statement, his fellow panellists too gave a perplexed reaction suggesting how shocked they were. Here’s the video of that incident which sent Twitterati into laughter.
