The rise of Afghanistan as a cricketing nation has to be one of the most awe-inspiring tales of this decade. From producing top-class T20 players who go around the world to play franchise cricket to acquiring the Test status earlier this year to qualifying for the prestigious ICC World Cup 2019, their journey so far has only been uphill.

The leg-break bowler is currently the No.1 bowler in T20Is and one place short in the 50-over game at No.2.

Among the so many questions he received, the one that involved two popular names from Bollywood was the spiciest.

Who are his favorite actresses?

One of the followers asked Rashid who his favorite actress is and the Nangarhar-born did post the answer on his Instagram story. He didn’t pick one but two who are not only huge stars in the Bollywood film industry but also have a strong connection to Indian cricket. The first of the two is the gorgeous Anushka Sharma who, as most people know, is also the wife of Indian captain Virat Kohli. The mystery spinner has expressed his admiration for the ‘run machine’ and has now expressed his liking for Virat’s super-talented wife as well.

The other actress that Rashid chose is again a Bollywood superstar and it is the evergreen, Preity Zinta. The 43-year old from Shimla is equally renowned as an entrepreneur as she is the co-owner of the IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab. The leg-spinner mentioned her name as ‘pretty’ and one needs to clarify it as a typographical error or a metaphorical reference to her beauty.
