Self-appointed and deplorable actor Kamaal R Khan a.k.a KRK was once again his usual redundant self on Twitter ahead of Team India’s virtual quarter-final clash against South Africa in the Champions Trophy. Defending champions faced off against world no.1 team South Africa in a Group B clash, and the winner would progress to the semis.

KRK roots for the Proteas

Known to be a nuisance on Twitter, Kamaal R Khan had his say regarding the match as well. He initially began by extending his support for South Africa and wanted to see the Proteas ‘destroy’ Team India. Before the start of the game, he tweeted, “Hey @ABdeVilliers17 come on man n destroy @imVkohli’s #BCCITeam to throw him out of #ChampionsTrophy2017! #TheBrandKRK is with you AB!”

His tweet obviously sparked a sort of controversy among Indian fans who questioned his loyalty towards his country, despite it being simply a cricket match. India, however, put up a commanding performance in the field and bowled exceptionally well to restrict South Africa to a mere 191.

India crush South Africa

The game reached its inevitable end, as India cantered home with 12 overs to spare. Virat Kohli saw to it that they didn’t face any more speed bumps after both openers were back in the hut. He scored a measured 70 off 101 balls to guide his team to the semi-final. Yuvraj Singh finished things off in style with a six – a swat over mid-wicket sealed India’s semi-final spot.

KRK then conveniently switched sides and promptly congratulated Team India for their authoritative performance. His tweet read, “Congratulations @imVkohli n team for wining #SAvsIND match to reach to final coz you will crush Bangladesh like a Kachambur in semi final.”

In order to gain the support of the public, he followed up his congratulatory tweet with another one where he mentioned about ‘reverse psychology’. “So my reverse psychology worked perfectly. I thought if I will support South Africa so India will win n accordingly India has won in style,” Kamaal R Khan tweeted.

Quite evidently, Twitterati took him apart with a barrage of insulting tweets and trolls. Kamaal R Khan was once again subject to ridicule and mockery, something he’s quite used to by now.
