England team has a loyal fan base and they are known as Barmy Army. Whenever the team travels aboard, the Barmy Army too goes and supports their team. They are also quite popular on social media and take sly digs as well at the opponent teams. Well, this time, they cheekily took a dig on Indian skipper Virat Kohli. The team is in England currently and will play a five-match Test series against hosts starting on August 4.

Barmy Army sensed there is an opportunity to take a dig at Kohli and took to social media to post a picture of him along with Wasim Jaffer. In the picture, the Indian skipper is aiming at a target with an arrow in his hands. As usual, Kohli seems very intense and serious to hit the target. On the other hand, Jaffer is watching keenly and standing beside Kohli, with a wry smile on his face.

The Barmy Army posted this picture with a sarcastic caption to go with the post: “Virat is out of the upcoming Test series as he’s in Tokyo preparing for the Archery. More to follow. #Tokyo2020″

Jaffer, who is known to give savage replies, again came up with an apt reply to silence the Barmy Army once and for all. This time while giving a cheeky reply the former India opening batter used a photo of a famous actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and used this dialogue to caption the post: “Isko Paas Jo Ganja Hai Woh Humko Chahiye”(I want the weed they are smoking).

Here is the Twitter exchange:

Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw added to the Indian Test squad

Indian team it seems have been hit by a slew of injuries. If Shubman Gill was out of the Test series due to a shin injury, then Avesh Khan was ruled out of the five-match Test series. Washington Sunder was the latest as he was ruled out due to a finger injury sustained during the warm-up match against Select County XI.

With three players not playing, Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw are now going to England. Jayant Yadav’s name too was discussed, but due to change quarantine requirements, the off-spinner won’t travel to the United Kingdom.  Meanwhile, both Shaw and Suryakumar will now have a bubble to bubble transfer. The duo is currently in Sri Lanka for a limited-overs series.
