After a brilliant all-round performance in the Big Bash last season, David Willey got another contract signed keeping him with Scorchers for this season. The move didn’t pay any dividends as the Englishman failed horrendously with bat and ball.

He got to play just seven games this edition and picked up just two wickets. For someone who takes up the new ball, that’s an underwhelming record and his bowling average is a shade under 50. Although he goes in mostly as a pinch hitter, he does pack a punch, but things didn’t work with the bat either for Willey, who scored only 29 runs.
