Ravindra Jadeja has become the talk of the town after his scintillating exploits with the willow in the encounter between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The left-hander scored 62* off just 28 balls to power the MS Dhoni-led Chennai side to a 69-run victory. Jadeja also pummelled Harshal Patel for 37 runs in the final over of the CSK innings.

Jadeja also picked up 3 wickets with the ball when he rolled his arm over as well, including the crucial ones of Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers. And for his all-round performance, Jadeja was awarded the Player of the Match award.

And now, Sakshi Dhoni, the wife of CSK skipper MS Dhoni has posted a story on Instagram to praise the all-rounder for his stunning display with the bat. She posted a picture of Jadeja with Dhoni and captioned it ‘Beast Mode’.

“Ravindra Jadeja is someone I have believed a lot,” says Virat Kohli

Even Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli was effusive in praise of Ravindra Jadeja. Stating that he has always believed in Jadeja, Kohli stated that Jadeja’s ability is there for everybody to see.

Kohli also added that he is very happy to see the CSK player performing with the bat, ball as well as on the field. The RCB skipper concluded by adding that he hopes that Jadeja keeps pulling off these performances more often as it will open up a lot of opportunities for Indian cricket as well.

“He is someone I have believed in a lot in the past. His ability has been there for everyone to see. He has been out of the team (India) after that injury in Australia. I am very happy to see him perform with the bat, with the ball, and on the field. You want your premier all-rounder to do well and be in a good space.

I hope he keeps doing this more often because when he is confident and he is doing well, it opens up a lot of opportunities not just for Chennai but Indian cricket also,” concluded Kohli in the post-match press conference.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will play their next match on 28th April 2021 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side at New Delhi.
