In this day and age, T20 cricket grabs quite a bit of limelight in a player’s career. There are multiple cricketers all across the globe who just ply their trade in the shortest format by playing different leagues all over the world. In fact, young cricketers are also turning to T20 cricket to find a way to break through and gain limelight and eventually make it to their national teams.

In the West Indies, the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is in full flow and has reached the business end as well. There are multiple stars who have done well. However, there are even lesser-known cricketers who are punching above their weight and doing well.

Hence, here we bring to you five such bowlers from the CPL who have been doing well and could be useful picks for the IPL 2020. Moreover, most of these bowlers are in the top 10 wicket-takers list in the tournament.

Not a lot of people would’ve heard the name, Hayden Walsh Jr. Here is a 27-year-old leg-spinner who has stolen the limelight in this season of the CPL. He has topped most bowling charts and has been one of the reasons for the success of Barbados Tridents.

Walsh who made his international debut earlier this year for United States of America (USA) has played only seven games in this season. However, he is still the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. He has picked up 19 wickets at an average of 11.73 and a strike-rate of 8.7.

It hasn’t been easy for the batsmen to cart him away. Thus, Walsh could be a great addition in the IPL. Moreover, most teams love having leg-spinners and Walsh has shown that he can adapt to different circumstances as well. Thus, the USA leg-spinner could well be in for a surprise and an IPL contract may not be too far away.
