IPL 2023: 5 Domestic players who might trigger bidding war at auction

1. Narayan Jagadeesan 

Narayan Jagadeesan might end up among the most sought after players at the IPL 2023 auction after his phenomenal performance in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 season. The 26-year-old was released by the Chennai Super Kings franchise after featuring in just seven games since IPL 2020 and was never given a consistent run.  

The Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper-batter has had a fantastic performance in the List A format having smashed a phenomenal double ton against Arunachal Pradesh recently. His 277 run-knock off just 141 balls comprised 25 fours and 15 sixes and it turned out to be the highest individual score in List A cricket around the world. 

Also, Jagadeesan became the first batter to hit five consecutive tons in List A cricket and is topping the runs chart (Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022) by a huge margin. He is expected to be the top priority for a lot of teams given that he can do the wicketkeeping duties as well and can open the innings.
