3. Taskin Ahmed 5/28, 2014 ODI series

In 2014, Bangladesh were back against the wall by losing their first game of the three-match ODI series against India on their home soil. In the second ODI, skipper Mushfiqur Rahim, after winning the toss, invited India to bat first and his decision soon proved to be right when Mashrafe Mortaza dismissed Ajinkya Rahane on the second delivery of the game.

Taking advantage of the amazing start, debutant Taskin Ahmed also got emboldened to take an aggressive approach against the Indian batters and demolished their top order. Playing his first game, Ahmed showed his talent by registering figures of 8-0-28-5 with the ball to wind up the Indian innings for a mere 105.

The youngster, with these figures, also became the eighth bowler in ODIs to claim a five-wicket haul on debut. With his scintillating performance, Bangladesh had an opportunity to defeat the Men in Blue in ODIs for the fourth time in history but his efforts went in vain as Bangladesh were bundled out for mere 58 runs.
