Rajasthan Royals signed the Bihar-based batter, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, during the IPL 2025 mega auction for INR 1.10 crore. He became the youngest batter to earn an IPL contract, being just 13 years old at the time of the auction. Most fans expected the southpaw to hone his skills on the sidelines during the season without getting too many games.

However, he ended up playing half the matches in the league phase. In seven games, he amassed 252 runs at an average of 36 and a strike rate of 206.56. Suryavanshi made his debut against Lucknow Super Giants, scoring a quickfire 34 off 20 balls and getting off the mark with a six. His standout performance came against the Gujarat Titans, where he smashed a magnificent century off just 35 balls in Jaipur. This was the fastest century by an Indian batter and the second-fastest overall in IPL history. He struck 18 fours and 24 sixes in IPL 2025.
