2. Hasan Ali

Once deemed as the next big thing in the Pakistan bowling unit, Hasan Ali faded quicker than people expected. He still is someone, who keeps coming back and forth in the team but is no more the consistent player that he once was.

In the 50 T20 Internationals that the pacer has played, he has claimed 60 wickets at an economy rate of 8.35. With 190 wickets to his name in 149 matches, his T20 domestic record is much better. He is once again someone who can regularly clock 140 km/h and thus, will be a suitable candidate for pitches in Australia.

He, however, is not someone who’ll be the first choice to replace Shaheen, in case the latter misses out. The 28-year-old was part of the Asia Cup squad but was given just one match to prove himself. In the final match of the Super 4, Hasan Ali gave away 25 runs in three overs and didn’t manage to pick any wicket. In the summit clash of the competition, he was once again dropped from the playing XI. Thus, he needs to prove his worth all over again to feature in the squad.
