1. Mohammad Imran

Pakistan have produced some exceptional left-arm seamers over the years, who have dominated proceedings on the global stage. From the 'Sultan of Swing' Wasim Akram to Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz and the latest inductee being Shaheen himself, left-arm pace bowlers have always been a lethal weapon for Pakistan.

The amount of left-arm seamers, who play in every nook and corner of the country is mind-boggling and there is a new face, who is knocking on the doors of national selection quite hard - Mohammad Imran. The 21-year-old pacer is having a dream run in the ongoing National T20 Cup. He has picked up 16 wickets in eight games and is currently the joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament alongside pacer Sohail Khan. He has even picked up a four-wicket haul.

Imran is too hot to handle at the moment and has been a significant reason why Khyber Pakhtunkawa are placed at the top of the points table. Imran can arguably be the ideal replacement for Shaheen Afridi, if the pacer fails to recuperate on time. He has represented both Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League.

Hence, he has the experience of playing with and against international stars too. His ability to swing the ball both ways makes him a like to like replacement for Shaheen.
