Asia Cup 2023: 5 Indian players who could make a major impact against Pakistan

The Asia Cup 2023 got off to a brilliant start, with Pakistan hammering Nepal in the opening encounter and Sri Lanka getting the better of Bangladesh in the second match. After the first round, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh qualified for the Super Fours. The big-ticket encounter between India and Pakistan will take place on September 10 in Colombo. 

This is the most awaited match of the Asia Cup Super Fours, which will see the archrivals clashing after the washout in Kandy, and all eyes will be on the Indian team, who are under pressure to perform going into the World Cup. 

Indian players will be eager to showcase their talent as the squad returns to full strength.  Some players return from injuries to bolster the batting and bowling units in the mega clash.

5. Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav, the wrist-spinner, has been a revelation since he returned from his knee injury. He was amazing in the recent ODI series against West Indies, where he picked a four-fer as well and was Player of the Match in one encounter.

He bowled brilliantly in the previous 50-over Asia Cup 2018, picking up ten wickets in six matches with a best of 3/45 and had the number of Pakistan’s ace batter, Babar Azam.

With Sri Lankan conditions favourable for a spin, Kuldeep will look to weave his magic against Pakistan batters.
