Fielding has become a key aspect in cricket, especially in the shortest format of the game, where every run is crucial. Pakistan have historically not been known for having exceptional fielders in their setup. In recent times, Shadab Khan did make a mark. However, in the current team, Saim Ayub is a very good fielder, known for his fitness and agility. He can also cover a lot of ground in quick time and has safe hands as well. The left-handed batter rarely drops catches. In 113 T20 matches, he has taken 50 catches.
