6. Axar Patel

When India faced Bangladesh on the latter’s turf in 2015, Axar Patel was fairly new to the international circuit, having made his ODI debut a year prior. The 28-year-old did a decent job with the ball picking two wickets in as many games at an economy of 5.75. On the batting front, he scored 10 runs in those outings at a strike rate of 166.66.

Axar’s stocks have grown substantially since India last toured Bangladesh. The bowling all-rounder has become a smarter bowler and his batting prowess has also improved. The Anand-born has featured in 44 ODIs and bagged 53 scalps at an economy of 4.40. Also, he has smashed 273 runs at a strike rate of 106.22.

Moreover, the left-arm spinner has been a revelation in the Test arena. Axar has bagged an insane tally of 39 wickets in only six games in the longest format and scored 197 runs at an average of 24.62. He would like to display his improved all-round credentials in the upcoming Bangladesh series.
