Nothing is going in Pakistan’s favour in this World Cup. After their seven-wicket loss to the arch-rivals India, the Green Army’s confidence has shattered completely. Following the defeat against India, Pakistan team fans were expecting their side to make a comeback against Australia.

At the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and elected to bowl first. His decision backfired as the Aussie openers David Warner and Mitchell Marsh completely outplayed Pakistan’s bowling unit with their spunky batting attitude. Both batters stitched a 259-run opening partnership which helped the Men in Yellow post 367 runs on the board.

Pakistan’s horrendous bowling show and fielding blunders cost the huge match by 61 runs. Pakistan bowlers faced severe criticism for failing to defend 283 runs against Afghanistan in Chennai. Except for Hasan Ali, all other bowlers struggled which led to the team’s eight-wicket loss.
