Here let us take a look at the players who have been sidelined during the England-India 2025 Test series.
List of players injured during England vs India 2025 Test series
Rishabh Pant

India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was ruled out of the series after sustaining a fracture in his right foot on Day 1 of the fourth Test in Manchester. The injury occurred when Pant attempted a reverse sweep off Chris Woakes and was struck on the foot during the second session. After medical consultation, he was advised to rest for six to eight weeks, ruling him out of both the fourth and fifth Tests.
Nitish Kumar Reddy

Star all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was also ruled out of the remainder of the series due to a left knee injury he sustained during a session in the gym. He featured in the second and third games of the series. While he had a quiet outing in Birmingham, scoring just two runs and going wicketless in six overs, he made an impact at Lord’s with crucial top-order wickets. Reddy has now flown back home for further procedures on his injury.
Akash Deep

Bengal pacer Akash Deep missed the fourth Test at Old Trafford as he had not recovered fully from a groin injury sustained during the Lord's Test. The Bihar-born bowler was replaced by Anshul Kamboj for the Manchester Test but is expected to be fit and available for selection for the final match at The Oval, which is set to commence on July 31.
Arshdeep Singh

The left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh was ruled out of the fourth Test after suffering an impact injury to his left thumb during a net session in Beckenham. While attempting to field a shot from Sai Sudharsan, Arshdeep injured his bowling hand, ruling him out of contention for the match. The Guna-born will, however, be available for the final encounter of the tour.
Shoaib Bashir

The English off-spinner Shoaib Bashir has been ruled out of the final two Tests of the series due to a fractured finger on his non-bowling hand. The injury occurred on Day 3 of the Lord’s Test when he attempted a return catch off a powerful drive from Ravindra Jadeja, injuring the little finger of his left hand.
