Star all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was also ruled out of the remainder of the series due to a left knee injury he sustained during a session in the gym. He featured in the second and third games of the series. While he had a quiet outing in Birmingham, scoring just two runs and going wicketless in six overs, he made an impact at Lord’s with crucial top-order wickets. Reddy has now flown back home for further procedures on his injury.
