Royal Challengers Bangalore has been hit with yet another injury scare with star England bowler Reece Topley being ruled out of the tournament, after sustaining an injury during RCB's campaign opener against Mumbai Indians. They also had a dismal outing in their recent clash against Kolkata Knight Riders which saw their net run-rate dip in an abysmal manner.

Going ahead, RCB will require to make certain changes to the setup to turn things around and with Topley not available in the ranks, they would be looking to make a quality replacement who could bring required skillset to the side.

The team had earlier been hit with the injury of swashbuckling English batter Will Jacks which saw them signing Michael Bracewell as a replacement. With much of the Indian Premier League at sight, RCB wouldn't be willing to make a delay and must be looking at the possible options to carry out a replacement at the earliest.

Here are 3 players who can replace Reece Topley in RCB:

3. Tom Curran

Tom Curran is a dependable prospect with the ball and can also be trusted to power a few shots with the willow in times of need. Not entirely new to the IPL setup, Curran has played for teams like Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals, over the years in the tournament. Coming in for Steven Finn, Curran first made an impression after picking up a scintillating fifer against arch-rivals Australia in an ODI in Perth in 2017-18.

Talking about his T20 record, Curran has played 30 T20Is so far, picking up 29 wickets at a strike rate of 20.2. He records an economy of 9.25 and has an average of 31.27.

With the bat, he had his zenith earlier this year as he registered his maiden first-class century against Northamptonshire. In ODIs, his highest score is 47* but haven't had much chances of showing his prowess in the shortest format of the game, having scored 64 runs in 13 innings where he remained unconquered seven times. Thus, going by his batting and bowling skills, Curran could be a quality addition to the Bangalore side.
