Royal Challengers Bangalore had a decent campaign in IPL 2022 and finished third in the marquee T20 tournament.

1. Jason Behrendorff

Jason Behrendorff has one of the leading left-arm fast bowlers in Australian Cricket. He has been a proven performer in the shortest format of the game and the 32-year-old also displayed his class in the Big Bash League 2021-22. He played 13 matches for Perth Scorchers and took 16 wickets at an economy of 7.32.

Behrendorff is renowned for his swing and can make the ball talk in the starting phases of the innings. RCB drafted him into the side for the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League. However, the Australian pacer was unavailable for the few early games of the tournament due to national commitments and upon his arrival was not able to break into the star-studded playing XI.

Given RCB’s team composition, the left-arm pacer could only have been slotted in place of his fellow compatriot Josh Hazlewood. But Hazlewood had an outstanding campaign for the Faf du Plessis & Co. and took 20 wickets in 12 games. This kept Behrendorff out of the side. With the Bangalore team already having a left-arm option of David Wiley who is also a capable batter, Jason’s exit can be on the cards.
