4. Sherfane Rutherford

Sherfane Rutherford is one of the most exciting prospects from the Caribbean. He is known for his big-hitting skills and has proven his worth in T20 leagues around the world. The 24-year-old had a decent outing in the 2021 season of the Caribbean Premier League as he scored 262 runs at a strike rate of 127.18.

RCB drafted the flamboyant cricketer into the side for IPL 2022 to strengthen their middle order.  In absence of Glenn Maxwell for the starting games of the season, Rutherford got a couple of chances to show his batting prowess. However, he failed to impress with his showings and could only score 33 runs at a poor strike rate of 66.00.

After Maxwell’s arrival, the Caribbean stroke maker was sidelined from the team and was not given another run. Having failed to make the most of the opportunities, it does not seem Rutherford will be retained for the next season. Moreover, he has not been at his best of late as he scored 151 in nine games at the recently concluded CPL 2022. Thus, his exit from the RCB camp is definitely on the cards.
