4. Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran has been a proven performer in the T20 circuit. The 27-year-old has featured in 256 games in the shortest format and amassed 4942 runs at a phenomenal strike rate of 141.15. Sunrisers Hyderabad roped in the swashbuckling batter at the 2022 mega auction to bolster their batting lineup. He had an outstanding campaign in the 2022 season as he accumulated 306 runs in 14 games at a strike rate of 144.34.

However, the West Indies batter was not able to keep up with the good form across T20 competitions. In the Caribbean Premier League 2022, he managed to score just 108 runs in 10 games at a strike rate of 117.39. The Trinidad-born was dismal with the bat at the T20 World Cup 2022 as well and scored 25 runs in three games at a strike rate of 86.20.

SRH were not inclined towards repaying the whopping sum of INR 10.75 crore for an out-of-form Pooran and thus, did not retain him for the 16th edition of the lucrative T20 tournament. But as the West Indies white-ball skipper had fared well for the Hyderabad franchise, the think tank might look to buy him back at a price lower than his previous amount.
