Delhi Capitals (DC) ended their association with Rovman Powell before the IPL 2024 auction and he will go under the hammer after two years again. Powell scored seven runs in three games he got from Capitals in 2023. The Windies player will participate in the upcoming auction with a base price tag of INR 1 crore.

The 30-year-old is known for his hard-hitting abilities which make him dangerous in the last overs of innings. In the auction, some franchises might see a finisher in Powell and one of them might end up signing him at an enormous amount. This year, he has scored 192 runs in eight T20 Internationals (T20Is) at an average of 38.40 and a strike rate of 168.42.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) have broken ties with Devdutt Padikkal and Jason Holder recently and following this move, they might utilize the amount to buy Powell, who can be useful for them in the lower-middle order.
