3. Heinrich Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen has been a proven performer in the shortest format of the game. The 31-year-old has the ability to take the bowling attack to the cleaners and has played a couple of match-winning knocks for South Africa. He has featured in 36 T20Is and scored 651 runs at a phenomenal strike rate of 147.61.

The wicketkeeper batter has been in a rich vein of form heading into the ongoing T20 World Cup. Klaasen smashed 118 runs in five matches in the Caribbean Premier League 2022 at a strike rate of 137.20. Then he showed batting might in the recently concluded ODI series against India where he scored 138 runs in three games.

However, the veteran batter has fallen behind the pecking order in the T20Is as the team management has backed Tristan Stubbs for the middle-order slot at the global tournament so far. Klassen brings in a wealth of experience but he has failed to break into the playing XI yet.
