5. Cameron Green

Cameron Green’s stocks have experienced an exponential rise in the last year or so. He has displayed his all-around prowess in international cricket and has become a constant figure in the Australian setup across formats. In the ODI series against Zimbabwe, the ace all-rounder was Australia’s wrecker-in-chief with the ball and took eight wickets in three games at an economy of 3.17.

After a superb bowling display against The Chevrons, Green displayed his all-round prowess against New Zealand. The 23-year-old scored 114 runs in two games at a strike rate of 109.62 and also took two wickets. Aaron Finch & Co. have many top-quality all-rounders in the mix and the youngster despite being outstanding with bat and ball was unable to make the cut for the T20 World Cup squad.

The flamboyant cricketer has carried his form in the T20 arena. Green was tasked to open the innings in the three-match T20I series against India and he showcased some excellent form scoring 118 runs at a breathtaking strike-rate of 214.55. Though he might have missed out on a World Cup spot, the 23-year-old is Australia’s star in the making.
