T20 World Cup 2022: Rating squads of all teams in the tournament

The T20 World Cup 2022 is about to commence in less than two weeks. The T20 extravaganza will kickstart on October 16 with the group stages and the action will move towards the Super 12 round from October 22. All the top-ranked cricketing nations have announced their 15-member squad who will represent them at the marquee event. 

Every team has tried their level best to form a squad that covers all the bases be it in the bowling or the batting front. However, certain teams seem far more settled than others. Let us look at the top teams who will feature in the global tournament and rate them based on their personnel.

8. Bangladesh : 6/10

Bangladesh Cricket has been in turmoil in the recent past. Bangladesh's captaincy role in the shortest format was like musical chairs moving from Mahmudullah to Nurul Hasan and eventually to Shakib Al Hasan. Then Mushfiqur Rahim shockingly retired from the shortest format and selectors opted to exclude the veteran all-rounder Mahmudullah from the World Cup squad. There has been a lot going on in the Bangladesh cricketing circles as the team head into the global event.

Talking about personnel for the global tournament, Sabbir Rahman and Mehidy Hasan Miraz who have been opening the batting for Bangladesh of late are not established openers. The middle order will be quite inexperienced due to the exit of the veteran duo. Litton Das and skipper Shakib Al Hasan will be key for Bangla Tigers in the batting department. Afif Hossain and Mossadek Hossain have shown a lot of promise of late and the team management would hope they deliver the goods on the big stage.

Bangladesh is in good hands when it comes to bowling. Shakib and Mustafizur Rahman have been proven performers in the T20 circuit and are able leaders of the spin and pace bowling front respectively. Also, they have the likes of Taskin Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain, and Mohammad Saifuddin to support the veteran left-arm pacer in the pace-bowling front.
