LSG amassed 238/3 in their 20 overs after being asked to bat first by the home team. Nicholas Pooran top-scored with an unbeaten 36-ball 87, while Mitchell Marsh contributed with a stunning 81 off 48 deliveries.

In reply, KKR showed no signs of being overwhelmed as they gallantly went after the target. Sunil Narine (30 off 13 balls) got the team off to a flying start before Ajinkya Rahane slammed a whirlwind 61 runs off 35 deliveries.
