RCB women scripted history and became only the 2nd team to win a WPL trophy. It is also the first trophy won by RCB's men's or a women's team. A collective team effort helped them to attain the glory after falling a bit in the progression of the league stage. Ellyse Perry won the orange cap for being the leading run scorer.

Shreyanka Patil won the purple cap for being the leading wicket taker. Asha Sobhana and Sophie Molineux were the second highest wicket takers respectively. Shreyanka also won the Emerging player of the season award. RCB won the eventual trophy and the fair play award. It was a near perfect campaign for RCB.

However, they were not flawless in the tournament. It seemed like they could not get a good third spinner and an additional All Rounders.  RCB had many good players who could do the job for them. However, they stuck to the winning combination. Here are the three players who were underutilized by RCB in the WPL 2024.

3. Kate Cross

Kate Cross, who is famously known to be a CSK fan, was bought by RCB in the WPL auction 2024. As Megan Scutt, who was in RCB in the WPL 2023 as the premier pacer, was released, Kate Cross came in almost as a like-to-like replacement. Many expected her to form a pace attacking duo with Renuka Singh Thakur. However, Kate did not get to play a game for RCB women.

The team dynamics led to benching the English. Otherwise, Cross is a talented player. A pacer who can swing the ball and bowl in accurate lines while offering some runs with the bat lower down the order. However, RCB played with an overseas combination of Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, Sophie Molineux, and Georgia Wareham. All of them performed well for RCB in different capacities.
