Chris Lynn names all-time batters across formats, includes three Australians [Exclusive]

In an exclusive interaction with CricTracker, Australian cricketer Chris Lynn revealed his top five batters of all time across formats, including three Australians in his elite list. Lynn named Ricky Ponting as his top pick, highlighting his remarkable tally of 13,378 Test runs and 13,704 runs in ODIs.

He placed AB de Villiers second, praising the South African's great versatility and consistency across formats, with 8,765 Test runs, 9,577 ODI runs, and 1,672 T20I runs. Jacques Kallis was Lynn’s third choice, acknowledging the legendary all-rounder’s dominance with 13,289 Test runs, 11,579 ODI runs, and over 200 wickets in both Tests and ODIs.

Michael Hussey was named fourth, with Lynn lauding his reliability and average of 51.52 in Tests, alongside 6,235 Test runs and 5,442 ODI runs. Rounding off the list was Andrew Symonds, who impressed Lynn with his impact as a powerful batter and effective all-rounder, scoring 1,462 Test runs, 5,088 ODI runs, and claiming 133 wickets in the 50-over format.
