Even though Virat Kohli is not the skipper of India's Test side anymore he is still a vital cog when it comes to leadership management. This fact became quite evident during the second Test when Team India came out to field against Australia on Friday (February 17), at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The moment the whole Indian squad got into the huddle, Kohli was spotted delivering a spirited speech. It's unclear what Kohli said in the team meeting but a fan with Twitter handle @ImTanujSingh, tweeted the same, which later on went viral in the social media domain.

Notably, Rohit Sharma was appointed India's Test skipper after India's "Run Machine" stepped down from captaincy post the series loss to South Africa last year. Interestingly enough, Virat Kohli is the most successful skipper in Tests with 40 victories to his name.

Australia bowled out for 263 in their first innings

Courtesy of Mohammed Shami's four-fer, India bowled out Australia for 263. At one stage, the Aussies were crumbling with Indian spinners in Ashwin and Jadeja chipping in with few wickets but Peter Handscomb's unbeaten 72 and Usman Khawaja's 20th half century (81) in Tests, lifted the visitors to finish with 263 runs on the board on the opening day of the second Test. Notably, Khawaja's innings came to an end after KL Rahul took a stunning one-handed catch to foil his reverse sweep attempt, which handed Ravindra Jadeja his 250th Test victim.
In the final session, Shami wrapped the Australian innings up by cleaning the debutant Matthew Kuhnemann's stump for six. In response, India have started cautiously with 21 runs on the board at stumps on Day 1. However, Rohit Sharma survived an LBW scare on the penultimate ball of the day from Nathan Lyon.
Meanwhile, earlier today India's Test mainstay, Cheteshwar Pujara was presented with a special cap on his landmark 100th match, whereby he was given a 'Guard of Honour' by Indian players along with Australian openers David Warner and Usman Khawaja.
It is worth mentioning that India have not lost a Test at this venue since 1987. Only time will tell if Australia can fight back into this Test with some quick wickets early on Day 2 of the second Test in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
