KL Rahul played one of the best knocks of his IPL career in the 60th match of the IPL 2025 between Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Despite not getting enough support at the other end, the star batter stood tall, played his shots, and scored his fifth ton in the IPL.

Batting first on a relatively slower surface, DC had the challenge of positing a good total. They lost the wicket of Faf Du Plessis early, who woeful form continued with a score of 5(10). Abhishek Porel joined Rahul and played a handy knock of 30(19), which included a four and 2 sixes.

After his dismissal, Axar Patel entered the middle and scored 25(16), which included two fours and a six. While all batters got starts, only Rahul converted them into a big one and helped DC's cause. Following the skipper's wicket, Tristan Stubbs entered the middle and helped Rahul's cause. While wickets kept tumbling at the other end, Rahul was worried the least.

KL Rahul plays arguably the best knock of his IPL career

He continued to play his shots and went after the bowlers to keep the net run rate in check. Against a great bowling attack consisting of the likes of Mohammed Siraj, Arshad Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Prasidh Krishna, Rashid Khan, and R Sai Kishore, Rahul played arguably the best IPL knock of his career.

Rahul played with a mix of caution and aggression. He played lovely drives, cut the ball well, and hit lofted shots with perfection. Despite a lack of support, Rahul did not worry about avoiding a potential collapse and played with aggression, which kept the home side in the game.

In his stay in the middle, the right-handed batter carried the bat, and remained unbeaten with a score of 112*(65), which included a whopping 14 boundaries and 4 sixes. His knock came at a strike rate of 172.31, which was impressive. As a result, DC posted a good total of 199/3 on the board.
