The Lanka Premier League 2022, the top-tier league of Sri Lanka is scheduled to kickstart on December 6, Tuesday. Defending champions Jaffna Kings and runners-up Galle Gladiators will lock horns for the season opener of the all-exciting tournament.
As many as five teams will compete for the coveted title in the LPL 2022. Jaffna Kings, Galle Gladiators, Colombo Stars, Kandy Falcons, and Dambulla Aura are the teams taking part in the top-tier competition.
A total of 24 matches will be played throughout the course of the event with the 20 matches in the league phase the top four teams in the points table will then progress to the elimination rounds, which constitute four matches including the summit clash. The Final of the event is scheduled to be played on December 23 with the winners of the Qualifier 2 crossing swords with the winners of Qualifier 1.
