Suryavanshi was roped in by the Royals at the IPL 2025 mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, last year. He received a contract worth INR 1.10 crore, becoming the youngest-ever to bag a deal in the cash-rich tournament. The Bihar batter was only 13 years old at the time, something which had been thought of only dreams up until then that such a youngster would go on to not just get picked, but also impress everyone with his ravishing batting display.

Suryavanshi made his IPL debut against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 19 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. He replaced captain Sanju Samson, who was injured. The left-handed batter opened the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal and hit his first ball for a maximum. Suryavanshi scored a brisk 34 off 20 balls to mesmerise the cricket fraternity.

However, two games later, he showed a different side to his game, pummelling the Gujarat Titans bowlers en route to a 35-ball century. Suryavanshi earned a lot of praise from experts as well as fans for how comfortable he looked against the likes of Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma, and Prasidh Krishna, among others. The youngster certainly made an indelible impression in his maiden IPL season.
