The T20 World Cup 2022 is upon us and all the participating teams are going through their final set of dress rehearsals ahead of the mega carnival. One of the top teams who are capable of clinching the title this year are England. England have built a squad that looks hungry and will be itching to go all the way this year.
Dawid Malan is all set to make an appearance for his national side in the mega event after the left-hander had an impressive outing in the South Africa series. One name that failed to make the cut for the T20 World Cup 2022 is Jason Roy. Since last year’s T20 World Cup campaign, the batter has not managed to rack up enough runs in the format. His underwhelming performances pushed the panel of selectors to turn to Phil Salt.
England will kick-start their campaign on October 22 against Afghanistan in Perth. While the side can do wonders on the big stage, only time will tell if the players are able to rise to the occasion or not.
