Team India players enjoyed dinner at British Raj ahead of their semi-final clash against England in the T20 World Cup 2022. Indian team has been travelling across Australia during their campaign and their latest halt happens to be the renowned restaurant located at 170, Henley Beach Road in Torrensville, best known for its sumptuous offerings including a large variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisines.

"The team and the players hardly had any time to relax and take their mind off from the pressure of a high-octane tourney like World Cup since there has been hardly any time between games," a senior BCCI official in the know of things was quoted by NDTV.

"... And too many internal flights, three days in Adelaide is like bliss. Hence the players and their partners (wives and girlfriends) who are present joined for a team dinner. This is a team bonding exercise also and a chance to completely unwind," he added.

India’s tournament journey commenced with the flight from Mumbai to Perth, where they stayed for over a week while practicing and training ahead of the start of the Super12 stage. They met Western Australia XI in Perth on October 12, losing the practice fixture by 36 runs before flying to Brisbane for a round of warm-ups. The team’s first warm-up against hosts Australia fetched them a narrow six-run win while the ensuing clash against New Zealand was washed out thanks to the relentless Brisbane rains.

India then took the flight for Melbourne, where they stayed for four days and played an encounter for the ages against arch-rivals Pakistan, clinching a last-ball thriller by four wickets. The next stop was Sydney, where India halted for as many days, adding another victory to their tally as they defeated the Netherlands by 56 runs, before they flew to Perth for the clash against South Africa.

India tasted their first defeat in the main round as the Proteas defeated them by five wickets but India got back to winning ways against Bangladesh in a rain-affected encounter in Adelaide, where they stayed for three days. India’s last Super 12 clash was against Zimbabwe in Melbourne, another three-day halt during which they registered a comprehensive 71-run win to fix a semi-final date with England in Adelaide on November 10.

Meanwhile, New Zealand and Pakistan will face off in the first semi-final a day prior to the India-England fixture, with the winner proceeding to the final set for November 13 in Melbourne.
